Outlook 2010 away from office error information (no replies)

We are running deal '07 over a machine running 2008. customers are running Outlook 2010 on house windows 7 64 little bit SP1 machines. once the consumers check and activate away from workplace they gather an error concept stating 'Your automatic reply configurations are not able to be shown thinking in regards to the machine is presently unavailable. check once again later.'

Just came across this issue today and I will relate what worked for me.

Environment: Exchange 2010, Outlook 2010, Windows 7 x64 SP1

I was trying to activate my OOF and was receiving the same message but it was just on my machine. My co-workers was working properly. I'm not totally sure what the cause is but mine is fixed. I figured it had to be a client issue so no mods where made to server configuration.

Steps:

Hold down CTRL + Right Click Outlook icon in system tray

Choose 'Test email autoconfiguration'

Uncheck 'Use Guessmart' and 'Secure Guessmart Authentication

Test

If you receive errors, note which address it is trying to resolve to

Start, Run, regedit

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover (substitute 12.0 for Office 2007)

The following entries had a value of 1 for me, I changed them to 0

ExcludeHttpsAutodiscoverDomain

ExcludeHttpsRootDomain

ExcludeScpLookup

ExcludeSrvLookup

ExcludeSrvRecord

Close and reopen Outlook

Test autoconfiguration again, note results

Try to set OOF again. In my case it worked so I went back and changed the registry entries previously modified back to 1 and everything still functioned properly.

This also seems to have fixed why my online archive in Outlook 2010 was not showing up as well.

***Update: We also use MS Lync 2010 and after making the changes above Lync complained of not being able to sync with Exchange. Running a repair on the Lync installation resolved the issue.

When i'm indexing sites, it doenst index links with an ' in them, it just cuts anything off the end of ' off the link there for it cannot find the link so marks it as 404

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hi i added url submit form using This tutorial on sphider forum. But now when open the url its giving error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /hermes/web06/b2982/moo.grandcodesorg/subs2/search/addurl.php on line 16

And i think its because of irregular copy of code. because some of the code was turned in smilies in forum....
any help?

Hi sphider community, I'm a newbie in sphider search. Thank you for this great script, by the way. I am having trouble with indexing pages. I installed the sphider perfectly but when I start indexing my domain/site, for now I have 10 pages on site, but I have this message below then when I try to search with a keyword no result found. Controlling Search Regardless of Input (no replies)

I don't really expect a complete answer, but just throwing this out there in case there are any php/sphider savants out there.

I was just wondering if it's possible to control the search string regardless of what people input (basically disable the front end search functionality unbeknownst to user). This would be for a joke type search. For example, someone searches for "windows 7 troubleshooting" and get results for some other random (embarrassing, funny, etc.) search term that I have predetermined.

It would be funny to have a couple hundred search terms that were randomly selected from a pool of choices whenever someone used the search. What do you think? Would this be a ton of programming/work, or something rather simple to someone who's got a little game?

Hello,
I would like to set up the sphider search script for my website and would like to use php include function in modifying templates (header and footer, etc) to use already existing header / footer code from my website.
Seeing that the current templates are html files, php include function cannot be used ... Is there some way for sphider to use or include an existing file (for example: ".../includes/header.inc.php" ) as a header template instead of "header.html" in the templates directory for the search results page?

Include site databases in search indexing? (no replies)

Thanks for a great search engine, I have integrated into my website without any problems and I am a complete noob to Sphider!
The question I have is this:-
My website contains a number of MySQL databases for News and Hot Topics, Useful Hints, Observations etc. Can Sphider include the information in these databases in the search indexing (content is added to these tables from several different application that are connected to the MySQL databases and so content is constantly updated) ?
I have added a CRON job so that the indexing is run to update the search content but I cannot see any way (so far) of adding the existing databases in the site to the Sphider search index or is this not possible? I know that I can create a search for each of the databases outside Sphider, but I was hoping that there was a way of indexing all databases in the site into one search facility.
Your help and assistance is appreciated,

I've just installed Sphider V1.3.5 and everything seems to work, except that the search results do not contain a description. I've looked in the MySQL database and the 'fulltxt' column is blank. I would really appreciate some ideas / suggestions.

I am indexing PDF files on my homepage using SPIDER, and it works fantastic. But i have one small problem. In a PDF document a word might be split on two lines, that is done by a special code in the PDF format. If you search using Adobe reader you can search the word without problems. But using pdftotext the code is replaced with a space character. The result is that the search does not work. Is it possible to make a change to the pdftotext file that solves the problem?
