Integration problems, search button keeps moving...

Hello all, I am new to sphider, but very impressed so far with this powerful and free search engine.

The results are working beautifully, but for some reason the search button changes position on the results page (the one integrated into the top menu of the site).

I have tried to integrate it with my website www.mrworrall.co.uk (I'm a physics teacher) and have split all my scripts for the menus in my site into a menu_top.php and a menu_bottom.php, which sandwich any content I need (including the sphider search results, using a php include statement).

I have been over every inch of the css and sphider pages, but can't find a reason... please can someone take a look and help, I have been trying to solve this for a week and, although its a small problem, I am losing the will to live...

Many thanks in anticipation,

Good Afternoon,

Your website is nice.

It seems that you have used a table in the div to position the form field. Appropriate padding in the respective div on the contrary of a table shall resolve your problem like magic. Don't forget to float the form field to the right of the div with a class ID after padding to align it where it is now on your site.

Best of luck!

Well 'greenyohi', you are in luck. I was having the same problem when I read your post and I even went to your site 'www.mrworrall.co.uk' to check it out.

I have since then figured it out, and went back to your site to try and send you an email to give you the solution but there was no link for your email on your site. Anyway here is what you can do, go into the 'search.php' file and comment out this line:

require_once("$template_dir/$template/search_form.html");

I hope it helps, cheers!
