max execute time and set_time_limit

Hey i was just wondering how i may go about changing the Maximum execution time from 30 seconds to a different value.

as well im interested in line 11 in the spider.php

set_time_limit (0);

and its significance, i was getting an error from this line setting because php is in safe_mode, consequently i commented the line out and I no longer get the error.

also does anyone use mod_security on their server with sphider?

thanks

and if anyone would like to view my site http://www.flyninja.net is the url

You can comment the line out, but this means that if your indexing job takes more than 30 seconds, you wont be able to finish it.

So you will have to set php not to run in safe mode.
or if you have access to the server settings, the php.ini file will also allow you to modify the time_out time
