Customising

Hi All,

I am new to Sphider and so far all is working with SQL etc. I can index the site (only a few pages) and see the results page in it's uncustomised form.
The only problem I am having is customising the search results into my own web page theme. I have tried altering the header and footer html files but with no success. The info is there on the page but none of the images or stylesheets follow on and I have tried using the ../../ to move up the folders but this still doesn't work. All I want is to be able to put the results page into a middle div. Am I missing something obvious here???
Thank you in advance for your answers.

For calculating the relative address to your personal stylesheet, images, etc,
please keep in mind that the Sphider script presenting search form and result listing is placed in folder
…/your_install_folder_for_sphider/
Because the calling script is
…/your_install_folder_for_sphider/search.php
It is not
…/your_install_folder_for_sphider/templates/standard/header.html
or any other file.
Always …/search.php in root folder of your Sphider installation is the active script. So, address from this folder to your stylesheet.
If you open the admin backend of Sphider
…/your_install_folder_for_sphider/admin/admin.php
is the active script.
