Added sphider to the website beachcommunity.org and it aligns perfectly on all browsers (PC, Mac, iPad) except a Droid where the search field aligns below its intended location. Any alignment commands peculiar to the Droid?

Your current code reads:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "[www.w3.org];

This is not a Sphider issue. It is your site that you have the search bar installed on. The Sphider header reads something like this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "[www.w3.org];
<html xmlns="[www.w3.org]; xml:lang="en">
